Runnin’ Rebels to close out homestand against UT Martin

The UNLV men's basketball team will look for its first victory in three tries when it hosts the University of Tennessee at Martin Saturday at the Thomas & Mack. The game will mark the end of a six-game homestand.

Fans need to note that the game has been moved up to 4 p.m. in order to accommodate TV coverage of the UNLV football game against San Diego State at 7:30 p.m. The Runnin' Rebels game had previously been scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Runnin' Rebels lost 86-80 to Arizona State on Nov. 19 and 61-59 to Illinois on Tuesday, putting the team's record at 2-3.

Junior forward Roscoe Smith leads the nation in rebounding average with 15.6 rpg, recording double-figure rebounding totals in all five of UNLV's games.

Khem Birch, also a junior forward, is currently second in the country in blocked shots with 5.2. per game.

Saturday's game will be televised in Las Vegas on Cox 96. Also, there will be a live stream available on www.unlvrebels.com and the game will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM.
