LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

According to Las Vegas charity Opportunity Village, approximately 600 tickets to the nonprofit's Magical Forest were stolen.

Opportunity Village claimed those stolen tickets were sold by someone using the Facebook page of a local swap group.

"One of our donors out in the community contacted us and said, ‘Hey, someone is selling your tickets on Facebook, and what's going on there?'" Opportunity Village Associate Executive Director Linda Smith said.

Metro police have been made aware of the alleged theft. It is suspected the tickets were swiped last week. The stolen tickets have been deactivated and will not be accepted.

Opportunity Village, a charity that provides adults with cognitive disabilities with job opportunities, said only tickets for the Magical Forest purchased from recognized and reputable vendors will be accepted.

"You can go to our thrift store, you can go to any of the Opportunity Village campuses [for tickets]. You can go to Green Valley Groceries," Smith said.

The Magical Forest, a holiday winter wonderland display, is located at 6300 W. Oakey Blvd. in Las Vegas and will be open from Nov. 22 through Jan. 6.

"The way we make money is when people buy our tickets, so to know someone is out there with these tickets, unraveling everything that we're trying to do to help people with disabilities, it's disappointing," Smith said.
