Police said a 12-year-old boy was attempting to cross a northeast Las Vegas street outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a car.
Las Vegas Metro police reported the crash just after 7:30 a.m. in the 500 block of N. Lamb Boulevard, between Bonanza Road and Stewart Avenue.
According to police, the boy, who was crossing from the west side of the street to the east side, entered the far right, northbound lane of Lamb when he was hit by a Nissan Altima.
The boy was transported to University Medical Center Trauma in critical but stable condition.
The 57-year-old driver of the Nissan stayed on the scene following the crash. An investigation was ongoing.
