LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

UFC President Dana White was not happy with how UFC 167's main event between Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre and Johny "Bigg Rigg" Hendricks was judged.

"And, listen, I'm a promoter, (St-Pierre is) the biggest pay-per-view star on the (expletive) planet for me, and I still don't think he won that fight," White said.

While White's language about St-Pierre was vulgar, he said his frustration with the fight is actually focused at the state.

"I think the Nevada State Athletic Commission is atrocious. I think the governor needs to step in immediately before these guys destroy this sport like they did boxing," White told reporters in a post-fight press conference Saturday night.

FOX5 MMA analyst Joey Varner said White's, and others', issue is with the fact the state has boxing judges scoring UFC fights with an inappropriate scoring system.

"The scoring system now was built around the sport of boxing, by boxers and by boxing judges," Varner said.

Varner agrees with White that new scoring should be set up, but said many in the MMA world are biased about what moves should count as more points.

"Well, the people who like striking will give it to the striker. The people who like grappling will give it to the grappler. The fighters need to know exactly what the judges are looking for," Varner said.

But if the athletic commission does nothing, White said the UFC economic boost Las Vegas has been enjoying for years could disappear.

"And it needs to stop, it needs to end. I'm (expletive) scared to come back here and do fights. I'm afraid of this state," White said.
