Former WSU president to collect pension

Posted: Updated:

Former Westfield State University President Evan Dobelle will collect a state pension.

According to CBS 3 media partner MassLive and The Republican, the pension will range from $82,000 to $95,000 per year.

It will all depend on the payment he chooses.

Dobelle retired amid investigations into his spending habits. He also filed a lawsuit against members of the board of trustees and the state's higher education commissioner.

The application was filed with the state retirement board last week and will take several weeks to process.
