Thanksgiving may be a week and a half away, but Turkey Day came early at one local college on Sunday afternoon.
American International College's Diversity and Community Engagement Group held their fourth annual "My Big Fat Greek Thanksgiving."
The Thanksgiving dinner was free and open to all area residents.
It was sponsored by the college's fraternities and sororities.
Organizers said they enjoy making an impact on those in need.
"Everybody is just so grateful," said Joshua Dodds, part of the engagement group. "Nothing like this is really done, so when they see it, it's just great to see the gratitude on people's faces. The strangers, the elderly and the families that come in. It's just great to be able to have the ability to be able to serve them."
More than 60 AIC students volunteered to help with the free meal.
Organizers hoped to top last year's total of 100 guests.
