ATHENS, GA (RNN) – The Georgia Bulldogs can only claim to run the Peach State on the gridiron.

For the third year in a row, an early season match up between the Bulldogs (1-1) and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (3-0) ended in a loss for Georgia. It's the first time Georgia Tech has won three straight in the series, including two in a row in Athens, since 1992 through 1994.

The Bulldogs trailed by 15 points early in the second half after being down only five points at halftime.

Sophomore guard Charles Mann led all Georgia scorers with a career-high 24 points, making all four of his 3-point shots. Kenny Gaines added 13 points for the Bulldogs.

Senior center Daniel Miller led Georgia Tech with a double-double – 14 points and 13 rebounds. Georgia Tech also had a key weapon in their victory – senior guard and Tennessee transfer Trae Golden, who scored 18 points against his old conference foes.

Georgia will visit the Davidson Wildcats on Nov. 21 in its next game.
