LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The UNLV men's basketball program on Wednesday announced it has received a signed letter of intent from Dwayne Morgan on the first day of the early signing period.

Morgan, 6'7" and 215 pounds, will enroll as a freshman at UNLV next fall.

"We are very excited to have Dwayne join our program," Runnin' Rebels head coach Dave Rice said. "He is extremely versatile and is a high-energy competitor. Dwayne can score from a variety of spots on the floor and is a terrific rebounder and defender."

Morgan, a senior at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, averaged 17 points and 8 rebounds per game last year. He was rated No. 15 overall by Rivals.com and 34th overall and ninth in his position by ESPN.

Scout.com has him seventh in the country at small forward.
