LAS VEGAS (AP) -

Arraignment was postponed for a North Las Vegas woman accused of tying her 4-year-old daughter to a bedpost for up to 12 hours a day, with only a plastic tote bin for a toilet.

A Clark County District Court judge on Wednesday delayed Laketha Charis Moore's plea at the request of Moore's public defender, Darren Cox. Her new arraignment date is Monday.

Moore faces felony child neglect and kidnapping charges that could get her life in prison.

The 36-year-old single mother has been in jail since March, when apartment managers found the girl locked in a bedroom and called police.

Moore told investigators that she'd been leaving her daughter home alone for more than a month while she went to work on weekdays and to church on Sundays.
