Agents with the Tucson Sector Border Patrol say they've seized more than 800 pounds of pot and two guns this week.
Agents followed a suspicious Dodge Ram truck north of Amado, AZ, on Sunday, and when the suspects realized they had law enforcement on their tails, they sped up and crashed into a wash before fleeing.
Agents found 30 bricks of marijuana weighing more than 700 pounds. Authorities were not able to locate the suspects.
On Tuesday, agents stopped a vehicle on State Route 186 near milepost 355. The vehicle had two loaded pistols, ammunition rounds, marijuana cigarettes and a drug pipe. The suspects were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana and possession of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Also this week, a Toyota sedan drove through the State Route 80 checkpoint without stopping and 30 minutes later the vehicle was found with 140 pounds of marijuana in the truck.
