LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner's Office released Friday the name of a pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle in west Las Vegas.

Medical examiners said David Farr, 60, died from multiple blunt force injuries as a result of an accident.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Farr died as a result of a crash involving a Ford Explorer on W. Charleston Boulevard near S. Durango Drive on Wednesday night.

Police said Farr was not in a crosswalk when he tried crossing the westbound lanes of Charleston. He was struck by the sport-utility vehicle driven by a 56-year-old man, police said.

Farr's death represented the 83rd traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction, police said.
