LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Wednesday evening on W. Charleston Boulevard near Durango Drive, Metro police said.

Just before 6:15 p.m., the victim, a 60-year-old man, was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a Ford Explorer.

Police closed Charleston down at Durango for several hours to investigate.

It's not yet known if the driver will face any charges. The coroner will release the identity of the victim in the coming days.
