HADLEY, MA (WSHM) -

Hadley police are asking for the public to step forward and identify the suspect accused of stealing a $30,000 diamond ring.

Police say that a man walked into the Hannoush Jewelers at the Hampshire Mall on Oct. 24 and asked to see a ring and then ran from the store.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin, white male possibly in his 20s. He appears to have a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

Authorities say that the ring contained three diamonds with a total weight of four carats and was 14-carat white gold.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Officer Green at the Hadley Police Department at 413-584-0883.
