1 stabbed after hit-and-run in east Valley

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

One person was stabbed near east Charleston Boulevard and Stillwater Bridge Street after a hit-and-run car accident Sunday morning.

At approximately 10:45 a.m., two vehicles were involved in a hit and run accident. According to police, the suspect sped off and the victim gave chase. 

Police say after speeding through several neighborhoods, the two cars turned onto Stillwater Bridge Street from Charleston, got out of their cars and argued.

According to Metro Watch Commander Lt. Owen, the victim became the suspect after stabbing the person that originally hit the car. The person stabbed was found two streets east of Stillwater, on Doucette Drive, and was transported to Sunrise Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were searching for a Hispanic man and currently have a possible suspect in custody.
