The Clark County Fire Department responded to a building fully engulfed in flames with heavy smoke Saturday morning.

Deputy Chief Erik Newman said at approximately 8:10 a.m., 24 firefighters responded to a fire near McLeod Drive and East Reno Avenue and initiated a quick fire attack.

Upon arrival, firefighters found that two adults had evacuated themselves and after a quick search found no additional occupants of the house, said Newman. No firefighters were injured during this incident and none of the occupants were transported for medical attention.

Fire investigators estimate the damage to the building at $25,000, and the cause is currently unknown.
