Coroner identifies 2 shot, killed during argument

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner's Office released the names of two men who died after an argument led to a double shooting.

According to the medical examiners, Michael Dunbar, 28, and Teray Shaney Lyles, 29, each died from multiple gunshot wounds as a result of a homicide.

The two men were the victims in a shooting that took place late Sunday night. Las Vegas Metro police reported the shooting at an apartment complex in the 5100 block of E. Sahara Avenue, near Nellis Boulevard.

Police said officers were called to the scene after gunshots were reported in the area. They said arriving officers found the body of a man who had been shot several times. They said that while officers were looking for witnesses, they found the body of another man.

Detectives said they are not sure what prompted the argument or the gunfire.

Police have not disclosed a description on any suspects involved in the incident. The incident, though, was the root cause of an officer-involved shooting of an unarmed man on Monday night.

Police said an officer confronted a man believed to have been involved in the shooting the night before. The man shot by the Metro officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
