Argument leads to double-fatal shooting in northeast Las Vegas

An argument between two groups of people ended in a double-fatal shooting in northeast Las Vegas late Sunday night.

The shooting happened about 11:45 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 5100 block of East Sahara Avenue, near Nellis Boulevard.

Las Vegas Metro police said officers were called to the scene after gunshots were reported in the area. They said arriving officers found the body of a man who had been shot several times. They said that while officers were looking for witnesses, they found the body of another man.

Detectives said they are not sure what prompted the argument or the gunfire.

Neither of the victims was immediately identified.
