Thousands of people pounded the pavement Sunday in Phoenix for a good cause.
They all had one goal in mind - raising money to fight AIDS.
It was the fifth annual "AIDS Walk Phoenix and 5k Run" at Third Avenue and Washington Street.
Walkers, runners and even pets took part to raise awareness and money for 20 HIV and AIDS service agencies in the Valley.
Organizers hoped to raise more than $500,000.
The money goes to agencies that help prevent HIV or assist those living with the disease.
