LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The UNLV Runnin' Rebels on Friday announced sophomore forward Savon Goodman is leaving the program amid legal troubles.

Goodman faces felony charges stemming from an incident on May 18. He was not slated to play during the 2013-14 season.

According to Las Vegas Justice Court records, Goodman faces three separate charges, including two felony charges of burglary and grand larceny. The third charge is a gross misdemeanor of conspiracy burglary.

He is due in court in November.

"I have enjoyed my time at UNLV and am thankful for the support of fans, my teammates and coaches since I have been here," Goodman said in a release obtained by FOX5 Friday. "However, I have felt a lot of pressure the last few months. I feel it is best for me to leave the program at this time. Even though I am from Philadelphia, I will always think of Las Vegas as another home."

"I respect Savon's decision and will always be here to support him," head coach Dave Rice said. "I wish him all the best."

Goodman played 27 games his freshman season, averaging 3.6 points per contest.
