Medical examiners released the name of a 2-year-old girl who was pulled from a backyard pool.
The Clark County Coroner's Office, though, did not release a cause of death for Chloe Ann Vidal.
According to Metro police, medical personnel responded to a call at about 6 p.m. Thursday concerning the child on Morning Cove Court, near Grand Teton Drive and Bradley Road.
The child was responsive when paramedics arrived but was pronounced dead at Centennial Hospital at 10 p.m.
Citing Metro's Abuse and Neglect Detail, police said a family member had found the toddler was missing from the home. A search in the neighborhood led family members to a nearby home, where the child was found in the backyard swimming pool, police said.
An investigation was ongoing into the incident.
Police urged anyone with information on the incident to contact Metro's Abuse and Neglect Detail at 702-828-3364 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
