TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Thanks to Northwest Healthcare, you can get a free flu shot without getting out of your car. The drive-thru flu clinic is on Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at La Paloma Urgent Care located at 4001 E. Sunrise Drive. You must be at least 18-year-old to receive the flu vaccine.

If you miss this one, no worries. Northwest Healthcare will have two more drive-up flu clinics this month. Details are listed below. If you're interested in participating, you must download this influenza consent form, fill it out, and bring it to the clinic.

Health care officials say the drive-thru clinic is perfect for people on the go. No appointment is necessary. Officials add, the flu shot takes about two weeks to "kick in" and can help you protect yourself from influenza and help you avoid spreading it to others.
