LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The leg of Nolan Kohorst became the toast of The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, after a game-winning field goal to beat Hawaii on Saturday.

The last-second heroics were enough to earn the Rebels senior the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week honor.

Kohorst kicked the go-ahead, 44-yard field goal to give the Rebels a 39-37 win and extend the team's current win streak to four games.

UNLV noted Kohorst was the first Rebel to receive this award since 2008. Kohorst's honor was also the fifth time a Rebel received a conference award this season.

Kohorst, who graduated from Green Valley High School, also received national recognition as a Lou Groza Award Star of the Week.

Kohorst's leg and the 4-2 Rebels will get back to work Saturday at Fresno State University.
