Posted: Updated:

Below is a note from FOX5 News Director Adam Bradshaw about the changes to the FOX5 Weather 24/7 team:

"Today, I ask you to join me in celebrating a big promotion here at FOX5 News.

"For more than a decade Meteorologist Ted Pretty has brightened your mornings as part of the FOX5 morning news team. Tonight, Ted takes a major step in his career as he becomes the chief meteorologist for FOX5.

"As part of this well-deserved promotion, Ted will join the evening news team of John Huck and Olivia Fierro at 5, 6, 10 and 11 p.m.

"Taking Ted's place on FOX5 News This Morning, is the very talented and energetic Cassandra Jones.

"Cassandra joined the FOX5 family last week after a successful run as a weather anchor on the central California coast. She is passionate about the weather and looks forward to keeping you and your family safe and informed as we head into the winter months.

"Meteorologist Les Krifaton will continue to help you plan your weekends. You can catch Les at 10 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday on FOX5 News.

"Whether it's Ted at night, Cassandra in the morning, Les on the weekend or an occasional appearance from Nate Tannenbaum, FOX5 has your weather covered 24/7. Don't forget to get the FOX5 app for your mobile devices, as well.

"Thanks for tuning in, and I sincerely hope you are pleased with the FOX5 Weather 24/7 team."
