Medical examiners confirmed a man found shot inside a North Las Vegas home in an apparent domestic dispute died by his own hands.
According to the Clark County Coroner's office, Ronnie Lee Boal, 67, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Boal and a 23-year-old woman were found shot at about noon Saturday in a neighborhood near Ann Road and Allen Lane, according to North Las Vegas police.
Officers were called to a home on reports of gunshots, when they were confronted by a 67-year-old man armed with a handgun.
As soon as the officers commanded the man to drop the weapon, police said he killed himself with a gunshot to the head. He died at the scene.
Officers found the man's wife at a neighbor's front yard. Police said she was suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was transported to University Medical Center.
Police learned the husband and wife were separated, and the woman went to the home to exchange some sort of property. A dispute erupted and the husband shot the wife, police believed.
Police said she made it into the front yard before collapsing. A neighbor, armed with a handgun, rescued the woman from the yard and moved her to safety.
As of Monday, authorities have not updated publicly the woman's condition.
