A vehicle slammed into a decorative boulder in east Las Vegas, killing a driver on Monday.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, the single-car crash happened just before 8:15 a.m. on Sandhill Road near Desert Inn Road.
Police said a Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on Sandhill when it failed to stop at a red traffic signal.
The vehicle continued to travel toward a median and then through the southbound lanes of Sandhill before slamming into a boulder in the Desert Inn Plaza business center, police said.
The 87-year-old driver was rushed to Desert Springs Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police were looking into whether the incident was medical related.
