The man that died after a single motorcycle crash that closed the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Joe W. Brown Drive Saturday has been identified.
The Clark County Coroner identified the man as 26-year-old Timothy Sharp.
According to Metro, Sharp was traveling at a high rate of speed before crashing at approximately noon Saturday.
Sharp was traveling eastbound on Desert Inn Road approaching the intersection of Swenson Street. He failed to maintain travel lanes and left the roadway to the right, then struck a light pole on the south sidewalk of Desert Inn Road.
Sharp was transported to Sunrise Trauma with critical injuries where he later died from his injuries.
