LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
An expected kickup of wind and gust prompted officials to issue a dust advisory heading into the weekend.
The Clark County Department of Air Quality issued the advisory from Thursday through Saturday afternoon.
Though dust was not reported at unhealthy levels Thursday, officials warned people working outdoors to take precautions and head indoors.
FOX5 Meteorologist Ted Pretty said a cold front was expected to pass through southern Nevada by Thursday afternoon, bringing north wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph. Those gusts could peak at 40 mph by nighttime, Pretty said.
