LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Rebels are on a roll, and now the awards are starting to roll in.

Following this past weekend's shootout win over New Mexico, two UNLV football players received Mountain West weekly awards, something which hasn't occurred since 2007.

Sophomore punter Logan Yunker was named Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week for the second straight week. He becomes the first Rebels punter ever to win the award twice in a season, doing it over just two weeks.

Yunker, a graduate of Arbor View High School and transfer from Nevada, Reno, currently tops the Mountain West and ranks seventh nationally with an average of 46.4 yards per attempt.

Junior wide receiver Devante Davis was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. Davis on Saturday was good for 10 receptions for 164 yards and three touchdowns.

Eight of his catches went for first downs, and all 10 came on drives that ended in Rebel touchdowns.

Davis currently stands second in the nation with eight receiving touchdowns. He's the first UNLV receiver to earn the weekly honor since 2000.

The Rebels, currently 3-2, rest up this week before hosting Hawaii on Oct. 12. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. Tickets are available at unlvtickets.com or by calling 702-739-3267.
