Federal law enforcement announced Wednesday the arrest of a Las Vegas man suspected of setting fire to a beauty supply business earlier this month.
According to a release by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, 48-year-old Reynaldo Staana was arrested on Tuesday on a charge of damaging/destroying by fire a building used in interstate commerce.
Citing a criminal complaint, investigators with the ATF and Clark County Fire determined Staana as a suspect in the Sept. 8 fire of the Beauty Supply Warehouse located in the 330 block of South Nellis Boulevard.
Investigators said the blaze was intentionally set after it had been burglarized. The fire resulted in damage costing $2 million, the ATF said.
Staana appeared in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas following his arrest.
