The last place you want to meet one of the Las Vegas Wranglers is on the ice, coming at you at 100 miles per hour.
We advise you meet them over a beer instead.
The Valley's pro hockey team is giving you the opportunity during Wranglers Fan Fest, set for Oct. 5 from 4-7 p.m. at Scooter's Pub.
You'll be able to meet the team, coaches and office staff. Fans will also be treated to carnival games and a raffle with prizes. Wranglers season and mini-plan ticketholders will be admitted to see Head Coach and General Manager Mike Madill introduce the team at 3 p.m.
The best part? The whole thing is free.
"Without our fans, there is no Wranglers team, so this is our way of welcoming everyone to the 11th season," said Director of Tickets Sales Matt Langseth. "It's a great chance for everyone to meet the team and front office staff, and for us to say thanks for years past and kick off a brand new one."
Scooter's Pub is located at 6200 S. Rainbow Boulevard in Las Vegas, just south of Patrick Lane.
The Wranglers open their season on Saturday, Oct. 19 against the Utah Grizzlies at Orleans Arena. For tickets and more information, visit www.lasvegaswranglers.com.
