LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Authorities said a 5-month-old Yuma, AZ girl was found safe Wednesday afternoon after her reported abduction prompted an Amber Alert in southern Nevada.

A spokesperson for Nevada Highway Patrol said the child, Aleeha Green, was found just after 2:30 p.m. with her 47-year-old father Jeff Green on Interstate 15 at the Arizona-Utah border.

Jeff Green was taken into custody by Utah Highway Patrol, authorities said.

Sgt. Leanne Worthen, of Yuma police, said in a statement Jeff Green took his daughter, Aleeha, from her mother after an argument about custody issues Tuesday morning. He has no custodial rights, Worthen said.

Her abduction prompted an Amber Alert which was issued Wednesday.
