Alabama running back T.J.Yeldon is apologizing for his actions during the Texas A&M game on Saturday.
Immediately after a touchdown during the game, Yeldon was seen making a gesture similar to one often made by Aggie quarterback Johnny Manziel before another gesture the game announcer described as a "double throat cut."
Yeldon was given an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for the action, 15 yards on the kickoff.
Yeldon issued this apology on Monday:
"I want to apologize to everyone for my selfish actions on Saturday. That is not the way I want to represent myself, my family and our team. That is not the way we do things at Alabama. This is something that I will learn from, and I will use better judgment in the future."
Alabama won the game 49-42 over the Aggies.
