LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Authorities released the name of a 38-year-old Las Vegas man who was found shot at a southwest area apartment complex.

The Clark County Coroner's office ruled Oliver G. Doppert died of a gunshot wound of the chest as a result of a homicide.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Doppert was the person found shot at The Falls apartment complex on Warm Springs Road near El Capitan Way on Sept. 12.

Metro said the victim and his roommate, identified as Mary Pitrello, 26, had an altercation before shots were fired.

Citing witnesses, police said two women were seen leaving the apartment after the shooting and later fleeing the complex in a vehicle. Police said they found the vehicle and the women at a downtown hotel casino. They were both taken into custody.

They are not sure on the involvement of the other female yet.

This incident is currently under investigation.
