PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Phoenix mother was killed after she was involved in an accident near 7th Street and Northern on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Phoenix police said Tina Marie Samora, 30, was killed after her Honda Civic was struck by a Ford F-150. Both of her kids, age 2 and 4, were in the back seat properly restrained in child seats. They were not injured. A 27-year-old front seat passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Samora's family is having a car wash to raise money for funeral expenses at Remax near 805 W. South Mountain Ave. in Phoenix from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"She was a loving mother and a devoted friend," said cousin Crystal Seeley. "She was a stay at home mother who was focused on bettering herself and those around her. Tina Marie loved many and was loved by many."

The family has set up an account through Compass Bank to help with the expenses. The account number is 6716-45-1087.
