LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Just mere weeks after three sets of numbers matched a $448 million prize, Powerball appears to be approaching atmospheric jackpot amounts.

There were no winners Wednesday in the multi-state drawing, vaulting the top prize amount to $317 million.

Nevada does not offer the game, but that fact hasn't stopped those in the Las Vegas area to drive state line lotto retailers in California and Arizona.

The Primm Valley Lotto Store, located just off Interstate 15 at the California state line, has usually undertaken hours-long lines during astronomical jackpots.

The same can be said for the other closest town that sells lottery tickets, White Hills, AZ. There, four lotto retailers sell Powerball numbers, including Rosie's Den, Last Stop and two other filling stations.

The next Powerball drawing is slated for Saturday. Each set of numbers costs $2.

The largest jackpot in U.S. history was a $656 million prize in the Mega Millions drawing that was split between three tickets in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland in March 2012.
