LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police released Wednesday a composite sketch of a suspect believed to have gotten a hold of a woman during an attempted robbery in east Las Vegas.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, a woman was inside her home in the area of Pecos Road and Stewart Avenue just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday when she was grabbed from behind by a man.

Citing the victim, police said the man grabbed her by the arms and demanded money, which prompted a struggle between the two. She was able to get free before being grabbed again, with the suspects hand over her mouth, police said.

The victim was able to get free and run to a neighbor's home after biting the suspect in the hand, according to police.

Police described the suspect as a white man, 50 to 60 years old, 5'5" and 190 pounds. He has blue eyes, gray hair, pock marks on his face and a potbelly, police said.

Police also believe the suspect was driving a two-door, extended cab, white pickup truck at the time.

Police urged anyone with information on the incident to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
