LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Metro police said one person was killed and another injured during a shooting Tuesday night outside an apartment building just east of the Las Vegas Strip.

The shooting happened about 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Lynnwood Street.

Police said four people were in a nearby alley, where they encountered two other people. They said the group began arguing, and one of the two newcomers pulled a gun, which led to gunfire.

Police said officers arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound, lying in the parking lot of a convenience store. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A second man was found inside an apartment a short distance away, police said. They said he was also taken to a local hospital, where he died during surgery.

"Right now, what we know is we have two outstanding suspects, possibly around 24 to 25 years of age, believed to be Hispanic male adults, and all we have is that they have shaved heads," said Lt. Ray Steiber, of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
