LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The bodies found in a southwest Las Vegas home Wednesday have been identified.

Police were called to a home on Thunder Spirit Street to conduct a welfare check after family members of the occupants reported no contact for several days.

When police entered the home, they found the bodies of a man and a woman, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

The Clark County coroner identified the bodies, as 38-year-old Megan Kathleen Lanza and 51-year-old Nicholas Frank Lanza. Megan died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest and her death was ruled a homicide. Nicholas died from a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a suicide.

The two were married but were having relationship problems and were separated.

Police said it appears the man went to the woman's home, shot her and then himself.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
