With a slew of new talent on the ice for the upcoming season, it's nice to have a rock solid, 6'2", 205 pound veteran in net.

The Las Vegas Wranglers have announced goaltender Mitch O'Keefe, 29, has agreed to terms for the 2013-14 season.

O'Keefe has appeared with Las Vegas since the 2011-12 season and was integral in the team's 2012 run at the Kelly Cup, starting that year's playoffs with a 5-0-0 record. O'Keefe last season posted a 7-9-0 record, 2.90 goals-against average and 0.902 save percentage.

"Mitch is just a great player to have on any team, and he's a leader by example. The way he carries himself on and off the ice is something I want young guys to learn from. He treats every person around him with respect, and sticks with teammates through thick and thin," said Wranglers head coach and general manager Mike Madill.

The Almonte, Ontario native spent three years with the Ferris State University Bulldogs, being named the 2005-06 Rookie of the Year. O'Keefe later played with the ECHL's Elmira Jackals.

"I'm very excited to be a Wrangler again for the upcoming season. My family and I are very happy in Las Vegas, and we have a great core group of players eager to win and hungry for a championship," O'Keefe said.
