A Las Vegas family is without a home following a fire early on Labor Day.

A spokesperson for Clark County Fire said the blaze broke out just after 12 a.m. at a home on Haverford Avenue, between East Twain Avenue and Desert Inn Road.

Firefighters arrived at the two-story, single-family house to find heavy fire coming from the garage. The fire extended to a vehicle in the driveway and an attic above the garage.

The fire was knocked down quickly with no injuries reported.

The family – one adult, a child and a dog – evacuated prior to the arrival of emergency crews.

The family is being aided by the American Red Cross. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
