A man who was described by school officials as a "suspicious person" is in extremely critical condition at a local hospital, Phoenix police said.
The man had been peering through a fence at Kenilworth Elementary at Seventh Street and Culver looking at school children play, said Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos. Martos said the man's "pants were sagging low."
The school resource officer detained the man and called the Phoenix Fire Department for help.
When first responders arrived, they notified the officer the man was in medical distress.
The man was rushed to the hospital. The nature of the man's medical difficulties are unknown.
