LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A Las Vegas man was killed when a sport-utility vehicle turned in front of his scooter on the west side of the city Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
The crash happened at 1:50 p.m. at the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Durango Drive.
Las Vegas Metro police said that when the scooter entered the intersection, a SUV turning left onto Durango drove in front of the scooter. They said the scooter hit the front of the SUV, throwing the scooter's driver, identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office as 73-year-old Robert Roeder, from the vehicle.
Roeder was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the crash is under investigation.
