Sophomore forward Savon Goodman faces felony charges stemming from an incident May 18 and will not play for the Rebels this season.
According to Las Vegas Justice Court records, Goodman faces three separate charges, including two felony charges of burglary and grand larceny. The third charge is a gross misdemeanor of conspiracy burglary.
Court records show he will be arraigned Aug. 30.
FOX5 spoke with UNLV Basketball head coach Dave Rice Saturday, who confirmed Goodman will not play in the 2013-14 season.
Rice said Goodman will remain on scholarship, pending the outcome of the legal proceedings. Rice also wanted to stress he was proactive in this situation regardless of the outcome.
Goodman played 27 games his freshman season, averaging 3.6 points per contest.
