Vegas Strip acts slated for Life is Beautiful fest

Posted: Updated:

Some of the performers of the famed shows of the Las Vegas Strip are slated to play a big part of the Life is Beautiful festival.

Organizers of the inaugural downtown event said live performances are being planned as the focus of the festival's "art" aspect.

The festival announced a slate of performers from acts such as the various Cirque du Soleil shows, Human Nature, Jabbawockeez, Million Dollar Quartet, Absinthe, Recycled Percussion and Rock of Ages.

In addition, organizers said the festival grounds will serve as a canvas for art displays under the Rise Above street art project. Visual art will also be in focus under the multi-media project The Odyssey.

The art focus joins the previously announced music and food aspects of the festival weekend set for Oct. 26 and 27.

The festival is also expected to give details of its learning aspect with a number of workshops and lectures.
