Summerlin Hospital on Thursday acknowledged an investigation by the Southern Nevada Health District into tuberculosis (TB) at the facility.
According to the hospital, a patient admitted in June had the disease upon admission.
Summerlin Hospital did not disclose if TB was spread to other patients or staff as a result of the infected woman, only saying, "We have notified all potentially impacted employees and they are being retested as a precautionary measure."
The hospital stressed the patient didn't contract TB while admitted.
The hospital went on to say it is working cooperatively with the health district.
"Summerlin Hospital is taking, and will continue to take, all steps requested by the Southern Nevada Health District relative to any additional notifications, precautions or testing based upon their investigation of this matter," a hospital representative said in a release to FOX5.
"The safety and well-being of our patients, visitors and staff [is] our highest priority. We do not believe there is a likelihood of further infection or risk to others as a result of this matter," the release continued.
