The Las Vegas Wranglers, on Friday, announced they've signed another forward, who can put up points, and he's no stranger to hockey in the desert.

Chad Nehring, 26, has signed on for the 2013-14 season. The center most recently played with the Arizona Sundogs, just north of Phoenix. He was good for 33 goals and 24 assists last regular-season, and added a pair of goals and an assist in the playoffs.

Prior to appearing with the Sundogs, Nehring, 5'11 and 194 pounds, laced up his skates with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads.

"Chas is a goal scorer, plain and simple. We lost a couple offensive guys from last year, and he is going to help fill that hole," said Wranglers Head Coach and General Manager Mike Madill. "Chad will score goals any way he can, nice or ugly, and he will score a lot of them."

Nehring cut his teeth at Lake Superior State University, where he was named alternate captain his senior year, and notched 30 goals and 23 assists in 147 games.

The revamped Wranglers will hit the ice beginning on Saturday, Oct. 19 against the Utah Grizzlies. For tickets and information, visit www.lasvegaswranglers.com.
