A crash involving tractor-trailer Tuesday afternoon has shut down two lanes of I-91 southbound at the Connecticut border.
The right and center lanes near exit 49 are closed after a tractor-trailer hit the Jersey barrier around 4:30 p.m., police said.
The Department of Transportation officials said I-91 could be closed for about three hours as crews clear debris from the state highway.
The lane closures could provide traffic problems for people leaving work in Connecticut and heading to Massachusetts.
It is unclear if anyone was seriously injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Connecticut State Police.
