It's a program that gives kids who live in Las Vegas a safe and productive place to go before and after school.
School starts in less than a month, and enrollment for Safekey is now open. The enrichment program is available at 68 Clark County School District elementary schools within Las Vegas city limits.
Kids are treated to games, crafts, theme weeks, contests, snacks and more. Homework assistance is also available.
Safekey follows the school district calendar and operates on days when school is in session. Program hours and cost vary by site.
Safekey is a prepaid program and kids must have a valid pass to be admitted. Any child left without a pass will be sent to the school's office for parent pickup.
For more information about the program or to register your child, call the Safekey office at 702-299-3399 or visit www.lasvegasparksandrec.com.
