LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Las Vegas Wranglers on Thursday announced the signing of rookie goaltender Travis Fullerton for the 2013-14 season.

Fullerton - a 25-year-old Riverview, New Brunswick native – spent five years at the University of New Brunswick, recently boasting a 2.23 goals-against average and a 0.877 save percentage.

Fullerton, who stands 6'1" and weighs in at 180 pounds, won three Canadian Interuniversity Sports championships with the Varsity Reds and appeared in two games with the ECHL's San Francisco Bulls last season.

"Travis Fullerton is a guy who just knows how to win games," said Wranglers Head Coach and General Manager Mike Madill. "That's easy to see with the number of national championships he helped UNB win over the past five years. We're excited to have him as part of our team."

The Wranglers open their 11th season on Saturday, Oct. 19 against the Utah Grizzlies at Orleans Arena. For tickets and information, visit www.lasvegaswranglers.com.
