LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

On Monday the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed a prince. People all over the world celebrated, including those in Las Vegas.

"Of course this baby is the future King of England, I know we're over here in the states, but it's still super exciting, the royal baby is born," Gianna Russo-Mitma said.

She and others celebrated the bundle of joy at the Crown and Anchor British Pub on Tropicana near Maryland.

They are having half off British beers through midnight Monday and all day Tuesday to "wet the baby" or follow tradition and celebrate the baby's birth at a bar.

At Southern Hills Hospital, a local prince was born.

The Goldstein family was given a "royal baby basket" since baby Kristian was born around the same time as Baby Cambridge.

Mom Danielle Goldstein said she had a feeling the royal baby and hers would share a due date and had a feeling it would also be a boy.

"I'm so excited - I've been waiting for this day for nine months ... and I'm excited to share it with the royal family," Goldstein said.
